Three features of blockchain scaling

I discuss the three main key properties of blockchain scaling execution, storage, and processing in my previous lecture https://steemit.com/hive-183959/@ubaidenviro/5de9j7-surprising-fact-about-layer-3-blockchains-lecture-6. In this lecture I will discuss each of them individually.

Blockchain Execution

Any kind of computation that executes the transition in the blockchain network is called blockchain execution. It includes transaction validity and running the on-chain logic to calculate the state change. State changes occur when full nodes update a copy of their ledger to send back a new token transfer, data storage, and smart contract code update.
Execution of blockchain scalability is measured as transactions per second TPR, but generally, it is measured as computation per second. This is because the nature of the transaction is variable in complexity and cost.

Blockchain storage

Storage in blockchain means the storage requirement of full nodes, that store and maintain a copy of the ledger. In blockchain, the storage is generally in two forms.

1. Historical data

It includes the overall raw transaction and block data. Transaction includes each kind of data related to transactions. For example transaction origin and its destination locations, the total amount sent or received sign, or each transaction. All kinds of metadata and transaction lists are stored in block data.

2. Global state

It includes all data that can be read and written by smart contracts for example balance and variables in smart contracts.

Blockchian Consensus

In the blockchain, consensus means when nodes in a decentralized network reach an agreement on the existing state of the blockchain. Consensus deals with the finalization of transactions which means that a transaction is accurately and securely processed and is unable to be reversed.
