Really?! More on that in a moment.

Monday (sort of) on a Wednesday today for me. We were booked as usual, however, the doc had mentioned last week that he’s wanting a lunch break. See, he used to take an hour lunch but we got so busy that we’ve sort of obliterated his lunch. Before he took half a Thursday for appointments, we were also, or maybe I should say my one coworker always booked him a 9:30 (30 minutes before we open) appointment. So in reality, we ran longer and he got no break. (I don’t take a lunch either, but then I’ve never been one to eat when I’m working) so today, I went through the schedule and placed a 30 minute lunch break for him on Wednesdays and Fridays. We no longer do the 9:30 thing since half of my paperwork day is now gone. Hopefully he will actually take the lunch, lol, which also might benefit me as it will bring a small break in the action for me. 😁

Tomorrow’s shaping up to be busy as well. No frame reps for once but we do have a first timer midday and then the appointments beginning at 1:30. I’ve got lots to occupy me from today left over and a couple of stock frame deliveries that need pricing and stocking. Never a dull moment!

So now, regarding the first picture. I checked my Amazon app this morning before heading to work to see if anything was due to be delivered. Two orders were showing delivery tomorrow and an eBay order was slated for Saturday. @silvertop was under the weather and I didn’t want home to venture out into the rainy weather we are having. No worries-or so I thought!

Imagine my surprise when I pulled up to discover that pile of boxes not only there, but sitting in the mud where the rainwater channels through, with no plastic bag on anything but the one on top! I was quite upset! Our USPS folks who work in our particular post office must have left their brain somewhere else today! Why oh why would you leave these this way?

As you can see, they are completely soaked except for that top box. To make matters worse, the big on on the bottom that was the wettest, was an electrical appliance. The one in the middle was two canisters of premium cocoa powder worth more than it should be. The canisters are not plastic but cardboard lined with foil. It wasn’t looking good!

Notice the puddle on top?

At first I wasn’t even going to open them and just do a return, but then decided I could still do the return if they were damaged. So, we opened the first big one. The appliance box was wet down one entire side inside! Fortunately upon opening that box, I discovered that the appliance was wrapped in plastic. It wasn’t wet. The cocoa box was actually dripping water from the inside corner. I didn’t hold much hope for it, but the canisters were somehow wrapped in shrink wrap plastic of a tougher variety! They weren’t damaged either! I was grateful!

The one package wrapped in the plastic bag ironically would not have mattered if it had gotten wet as they were baby pine trees! 🙄 Interesting they put that one in a bag but not the other two! I guess good help is hard to find. We’ve had this issue before with USPS. We live in the Pacific Northwest where it RAINS!!! How could they not figure that out I wonder? 😡

I want to complain to someone but know doing so won’t mean anything much other than the service might go further downhill (if it can).

Well, I guess that’s it for today. I have to ask-is it Friday yet? 🤪

Take care and thanks for reading my tirade! Enjoy your evening! 👣🐑☕️☔️☔️☔️🙄🤪🌙🥱😴
