Lessons Learned: A Journey to Make Amends

I would like to explain my experience and regret deeply my actions in the past on the Steemit platform. I recognize that I posted numerous fake articles and created a fake community which hurt Steemit and its members. This was not only unethical, but also such immoral acts wasted my time and energy.

My attempts to be original, for instance, when I decided to develop my own bot, were in vain. I still went off the rails and started to harass the community. I started creating fake accounts that created headaches for Steemit such as now they are unable to create accounts anymore. I used phone and email hacking methods such as infiltrating Burp Suite to create these accounts. But now I see the light that what I did was indeed wrong and sinful.

In my attempt to rectify the wrong, I even attempted to tackle plagiarism in my community by building a tool, McKenzie but I should have known better that such ends do not justify the means. At first, I thought I was being rewarded through this tool because it operated in autopilot mode but well later on I figured that it was plain unethical.

I'm honestly thankful to those who opposed my actions, especially @the-gorilla and @justyy. Their actions made me think about my behavior. Quite frankly, if I had wanted to issue fakes I could have simply continued using remote desktops to circumvent IP restrictions Uh uh I stopped.

So today I am ready to atone. I don’t disturb people anymore with spamming or scamming or any other negative activity. On the contrary, I intend to apply my expertise risking these things will ever happen again. Well, I have thoroughly understood how these scams work, and therefore, I presume would be of assistance in protecting Steemit from such schemes.

I would like to request for consideration to join your group and do some positive work on the platform. I will not say English is my first language and my statement should be structured correctly, but I mean well. I hope you will see the good in me. Please give me a chance to show my worth and serve the people whom I have mistreated in the past.
