It has been a little more than 2 years, the Nutbox team has launched a STEEM dApp, WhereIn; and a DeFi platform that STEEM users can farm $PNUT token by delegating STEEM Power. However, the ambition of the team has not stopped there.

Reading the Roadmap, we can clearly see the path of building a bridge that truly connects multiple blockchains, or rather the entire crypto world. The next stop is the network of all blockchains, Polkadot.

I had a chance to participate the close beta testing of the new Nutbox/Polkadot platform yesterday. The application has the similar graphic user interface with the current $PNUT DeFi farming system, https://peanut.nubox.io/; but with two new functions that involve with Polkadot parachain: Parachain Crowdloans and Crowdstaking.

Crowdloan

The system has not connected to Polkadot's Live Parachains yet (only to its Rococo testnet), Crowloan is a concept that allow teams to fundraising for their projects as a parachain. For any project that wants to join Polkadot as a parachain, the project owner must go through an auction to bid a slot to connect. Crowdloan is a method to raising the funding with supporters' contribution. From the crypto holders' perspective, crypto holders lock their fund on Kusama or Polkadot to support their favorite projects; in return, receive reward of native tokens from the projects.

I would say, for users like us, who want to make some passive income, it is similar to the lending feature of BlockFi.com or CakeDeFi.

Crowdstaking

Users can earn passive income by nominating validators.

Let me introduce some keywords of the Polkadot world:

Keyword	Definition	What is it in STEEM Language
Validator	A node that secures the Relay Chain by staking $DOT, validating proofs from collators on parachains and voting on consensus along with other validators.	Basically the super nodes that generate STEEM data blocks
Nominator	Accounts that select a set of validators to nominate by bonding their tokens. Nominators receive some of the validators' rewards, but are also liable for slashing if their nominated validators misbehave.	Us users delegates to tipu.
Bonding	A process by which tokens can be "frozen" in exchange for some other benefit.	Power up STEEM Power

We can grasp a rough idea what we could do with crowdstaking by just view the keywords above. Bond our $DOT fund, nominate validator(s), and earn passive incomes.

I did found a bug during the testing. Therefore I nominated the same validators twice without any restricts. The development team had communicated with me and quickly identified the issue; and to my knowledge, they provide fix right after our conversation.

During my testing, I have found out that both bonding and Nominating validators require transaction fees. that being said, I spent total 0.8 $DOT for bonding and the two unrestricted nominate actions, which should only be one.

Wishlist

From a user perspective, what else do I dream to have with this platform?

First, I would love to have a SWAP exchange between $PNUT and $DOT. It would give $PNUT more use than just exchange with $TRX.

In addition, Polkadot is the network of all blockchains. We should be able to have all other blockchains, in which connect to Polkadot, connect to Nutbox. Imagine we can swap our $PNUT to $BTC, $ETH, $BNB directly? We could also have a new DeFi platform, that contains PNUT-BTC, NPUT-BNB, PNUT-ETH, PNUT-USDT liquidity pools, who knows...

Let us wait and see what other surprises the Nutbox's development team can bring us!

昨天，我有幸参加Nutbox/Polkadot的测试。和花生币挖矿的外观相似，功能上，目前的Nutbox的Polkadot新平台有两个功能。平行链拍卖和质押投票。

平行链拍卖

这个系统还没有链接到Polkadot的主链上，仅仅是其Tococo测试网。Crowloan 是一个允许团队作为平行链为其项目筹款的工具，每一个想要链接Polkadot的Parachain都要经过Polkadot的平行链拍卖获得加盟的许可。 从加密货币持有者的角度来看，可以将自己的资金锁定在 Kusama 或 Polkadot 上以支持筹款的项目进行竞拍活动；当然，作为回报可以获得项目的原生代币奖励。

个人觉得，对于像我们这样想要获得一些被动收入的普通用户来说，这个功能有点类似于BlockFi.com或者CakeDeFi的借贷功能。

我将会在以后的帖子中更详细的介绍有关平行链拍卖的内容。

质押投票

质押投票则是通过给验证节点投票而获得被动收入。

在Polkadot世界里，有一些专业术语：

专业术语	解释	在STEEM中是个啥
验证节点（Validator）	一个通过质押$DOT来继链的节点，验证来自平行链上的校对者的证明并与其他验证者一起投票达成共识。	在STEEM中就是大家投票的超级节点。
提名人（Nominator）	通过绑定虚拟货币提名验证节点的账户。提名人可以获得验证人的奖励。	在STEEM世界中就相当于我们代理给tipu。
粘接（Bonding）	将虚拟货币冻结，并获得其他区块链相关的奖励	Power up SP

大家可以通过这面几个专业术语看到我们将来可以在质押投票中做的事情：冻结自己的$DOT，给节点投票并获得被动收入。

在测试过程中我发现了一个程序错误。由于报错，我可以两次提名相同的验证节点。中间没有没有任何的限制。 开发团队找到我了解错误提示之后，迅速确定了问题；据我所知，他们在我们交谈后立即提供了解决方案。

我还发现绑定和提名验证节点都需要交易费用。 整个测试过程，包括无意中两次提名验证节点，我总共花费了 0.8 $DOT。每一次提名都要付费。

心愿单

作为一个用户，我还想获得什么呢？

如果可以的话，我很想能有一个SWAP交易所，用$PNUT换取$DOT。让我们的花生币获得更加广泛的用处。

另外，Polkadot是一个连接其他区块链的工具。也就是说我们能够拥有链接其他所有和Polkadot相连接的区块链。到时候，我们的花生币可能可以直接兑换$BTC，$ETH，$BNB……谁知道那时候会不会出现PNUT-BTC,NPUT-BNB，PNUT-ETH，PNUT-USDT这样的DeFi LP呢？
