Here in my home we had been using the Kirkland brand of Vitamin C, it has a quite hefty price because one bottle of Kirkland Vitamin C has 500 tablets. But that is ok the it is expensive because the benefits definitely outweighs the price value of this type of antioxidant. What I bought now was the version with Rosehips and other Bioflavonoids and both are another type of antioxidants. It helps me and my parents to be more resistant to infections and viruses that causes the "cold" and the flu. I never saw again my parents to suffer from clogged noses but if ever, they recover quickly. For my case, I never caught the flu nor did I suffered from clogged nose except from last year which I suspect to be CoViD because I never had it before with the combination of light fever but only with dripping and itchy nose plus coughing. Those had gotten resolved within a week because I added extra dose of vitamin C while that was happening.

I started taking a daily dose of Vitamin C after my AV fistula was removed from my wrist. I wanted it to get healed fast so I took vitamin C for that purpose. My dialysis nurse was surprised that the wound got healed very fast but I didn't mentioned to him that I was taking Vitamin C. Vitamin C is forbidden to be taken by the dialysis patients because it is water-soluble vitamin and dialysis patients happen to be unable to get rid of the extra vitamin C via urinary system. But I was thinking, it is in fact really a good news because the effects of it will definitely give more benefits for the patients for the reason that they are retaining vitamin C in their system instead of 99% of it getting rid through normal process of urinary system functionality.

I was only using half of the 500 mg tablet everyday together with some folic acid along with some iron supplement so that my body can be supported to make some healthy red blood cells. One of the reasons that I am only consuming 250 mg of vitamin C daily was to save some money. I do not want to consume the 100 tablets of the said vitamin from the bottle very fast so I just found a way to extend its use by halving the tablets and taking one half of it everyday because after all, I will not be peeing out the excess vitamin C anyway so it was a good reason.

We re-use our dialyzers here in my country because most patients can never afford using a new one every after dialysis session plus the fact that medical services here are not in the same standard compared to the western medicine type of standard.

I also hope that using vitamin C would also have a therapeutic and healing effect for my liver which is being ravaged by the Hepatitis viruses.

Heart problems was the leading cause of death for dialysis patients but I am still alive despite that I had been a dialysis patient for more than two decades already and not feeling any signs of heart problems. I attribute the longevity of my heart to my daily usage of vitamin C.
