Authorities are actively searching for a 66-year-old female who has disappeared from a bus excursion at Grand Canyon National Park last week after not returning to her tour group.
Martha Overholser, attending a commercial trip, was last spotted on December 10 at Mather Point, located on the canyon's South Rim in Arizona, as per the National Park Service's report.
Mather Point, a renowned viewpoint, is just a short stroll from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center. It is believed that Overholser ventured west from the Mather Point vicinity, potentially heading towards the Bright Angel Lodge or Hermits Rest, according to the Park Service.
She did not return to the bus tour.
She is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 2 inches tall, with gray hair and blue eyes. The last sighting of her was in a lengthy, off-white coat paired with a gray hooded sweatshirt, and she was seen carrying a navy blue bag, as stated by the park service.
Anyone who may have encountered Overholser is urged to reach out to authorities at 888-653-0009.
