Considering that trees are one of the most important pillars of life on land, the discovery that trees have hearts is pretty astonishing.

In light of the numerous benefits they offer and the fact that they are able to provide for us on a level that is superior to that of even the most human being, trees have proved their resilience.

On the other hand, researchers have just lately provided evidence that a pulse does in fact exist! A study conducted by scientists has revealed that the heartbeats of trees are significantly slower than what humans have ever witnessed.

It's true that trees have heartbeats!

According to scientific theory, water moved through trees through a process called osmosis. In the same way that the heart pumps blood out of our bodies, the trunks and branches of trees contract and stretch in order to pump water from the roots to the leaves.

There is only one thing that differentiates the pulse of a tree from ours, and that is the fact that whereas the heart of a tree beats at least once every two hours to keep the water pressure stable, ours pulses to regulate the blood pressure.
