Cologne in Germany Eng/Deu

Hallo liebe Steemians,
heute berichte ich über meinen ich weiß nicht wie vielten Besuch in Köln. Eine tolle Stadt, hier trifft die rheinische Frohnatur auf Weltoffenheit und Diversifikation. Dem Kölner an sich ist es völlig wurscht, wo Du her kommst, welches Geschlecht Du hast oder wen Du liebst. Ganz nach dem Wahlspruch leben und leben lassen. Die Wahrzeichen der Stadt wie den Dom und die Rheinbrücke sollte man in jedem Fall besuchen. Im Dom haben wir einen Gottesdienst besucht und obwohl ich nicht gläubig bin, war es schon ein erhebendes Erlebnis. Auch an der Rheinbrücke bekommt man schon Gänsehaut, wenn man die abertausenden Vorhängeschlösser an der Brücke sieht, mit denen Liebende dort Ihre Liebe für immer sichtbar machen wollen. Leider habe ich gelesen, dass die Schlösser in den nächsten Jahren entfernt werden sollen, da die Brücke das zusätzliche Gewicht nicht auf ewig tragen kann.
Natürlich gehört zu jedem Besuch in Köln auch ein Abend in einer echt kölschen Kneipe mit Kölsch aus dem Ring. Hier kommen gleich mehrere Kölsch ( Bier ) in den traditionellen 100 ML Gläsern in einem Ring an den Tisch, so dass der Nachschub selten aus geht.
Eine ganz besonderes Highlight ist auch ein Besuch des Musicals Bodygard. Extra für das Musical wurde direkt am Rhein eine Halle gebaut, die den großen Musicaltheatern in Hamburg oder Stuttgart in nicht nachstehen muss. Ein wirklich schönes Musical mit tollen Liedern und einer hervorragenden Aufführung. Lasst es Euch nicht entgehen.
War ein super Wochenende für meine Frau und mich (ohne Kinder :-) und ich freue mich auf unseren nächsten Besuch. Am Abreisetag waren wir dann noch in der Therme in Bergisch Gladbach, aber das ist dann ein Thema für einen anderen Post.

Today I report on my I don't know how many visits to Cologne. A great city, here the Rhenish cheerfulness meets cosmopolitanism and diversification. The people of Cologne don't care where you come from, what gender you are or who you love. True to the motto live and let live. The landmarks of the city like the cathedral and the Rhine bridge should be visited in any case. In the cathedral we attended a service and although I am not a believer, it was an uplifting experience. Also at the Rhine Bridge you get goose bumps when you see the thousands and thousands of padlocks on the bridge, with which lovers there want to make their love visible forever. Unfortunately, I read that the locks will be removed in the next few years, because the bridge can not bear the extra weight forever.
Of course, every visit to Cologne includes an evening in a real Kölsch pub with Kölsch from the ring. Here, several Kölsch ( beer ) in the traditional 100 ML glasses come in a ring to the table, so that the supply rarely runs out.
A very special highlight is also a visit to the musical Bodygard. Extra for the musical a hall was built directly at the Rhine, which does not have to be inferior to the large musical theaters in Hamburg or Stuttgart in. A really nice musical with great songs and an excellent performance. Do not miss it.
It was a great weekend for my wife and me (without kids :-) and I am looking forward to our next visit. On the day of departure we went to the thermal bath in Bergisch Gladbach, but that is a topic for another post.
