Steem Cameroon Contest - My Short Movie Script: Adventure (On the other side)

Good day everyone, it's so beautiful to see that our dear movie contest is back! It's been a while I was creative so I believe this is a yet another beautiful opportunity for me be creative. Let's get to the contest proper.

To the best of my understanding, adventure is somewhat a fun journey one tends to undertake, it might not really be fun but sometimes, it might be gravy tasks, exploration or a journey towards discovery which might even involve risking the life of the said person.

• Katrina: A local native Ninja

• Hadila: Queen of the Coast

• Makavi: Katrina's husband

• Likachi: Katrina's mother

Katrina was a fierce and fearless ninja of the Gombe kingdom in the 1506 AD, she was so skilled in shooting of bows, hunting and arrow piercing. What distinguished her from the rest of Gombe Ninja's was how she willed her sword effortlessly that even a male Ninja couldn't. She has won series of battles for the Gombe people and brought Kings and Princes to her feet, he name was always on the mouth of people when talking of a good fighter.

As things changed, she settled to marry Makavi a very strong Ninja from Ndanti kingdom, they lived happily and had a beautiful home, people jealous how Katrina was so humble and respectful to her husband despite how strong and agile she was at her prime, Makavi in turn, loved Katrina that their marriage was always a go-to example of a Perfect marriage.

On their 15th marriage anniversary, Katrina's husband Makavi went missing mysteriously, a search party was organized and all efforts to find him proved abortive, it was revealed that Makavi during his prime, in a quest to bring victory to the kingdom he was serving as a Ninja, he had made a covenant with Hadila who happens to be the queen of coast on the other side to marry her if she could give him powers to bring nations to his foot.

Hadila was betrayed immediately Makavi married Katrina an felt jealous of the union, so she forcefully took Makavi during their anniversary through a cup of water down to the other side of Gombe mighty Ocean. The only way Makavi would be brought back to the world was if Katrina was ready to get down there and fight without a guarantee of her coming back alive.

Katrina was ready to do anything to bring back her loving and caring husband back, so she agreed to every terms, and set out to the Gombe river, some incantations were done and she was teleported to the deep waters where she was faced with different mermaids to contend with, she fought with so much energy just as she was in her prime.

Makavi was chained to a stronghold and Hadila was left to contend with Katrina before she could set loose of Makavi only if She (Hadila) lost the battle to Katrina. Katrina was beaten to pulb, she kept pushing and wasn't giving up till the point she was almost killed, then a strange woman came from the other side of the river with a strong whirling wind and rebuked Hadila from killing Katrina.

She told them she is their mother, she was beautiful just like Katrina, she told them that they (Hadila and Katrina) were sibblings and were born on the land but was casted to the waters when they were just 2 years old leaving just Katrina to a blacksmith to take care of, this happen when Funte kingdom fought against Gombe and casted every female both young and old to the waters in a bid to overthrow their then king.

They were both left shocked at such revelation, Likachi showed the mark she put on their arm, this was when they believed they were really sibblings. Tears of joy was shed and Makavi was released to Katrina, Hadila and Likachi promised Katrina an occasional visit to the shores every 30th moon day of the year, they hugged eachother and Katrina and the husband were accompanied to the shores of the water by the mother and sister.
