The Diary Game [26/07/2024] // A Busy Day Cleaning.

Steem greetings all the way from the motherland-Cameroon to all friends on the Steemit ecosystem. Guys, it has been a hectic week trying to put everything in place before moving out from our old apartment to the new apartment by month's end.

My day started as early as it was dawn and with the sounds from Cockcrow, I jumped out of bed and headed to the kitchen. My husband had programmed us to go and clean the new apartment today. It is rather unfortunate that instead of the landlord cleaning his house well after the departure of the old tenant, it is the new tenant who cleans before occupying the apartment.

I had to prepare breakfast for the kids before leaving the house. My kids requested pancakes and it was less stressful for me to prepare them. Everything was available at home and I hurriedly prepared the pancakes. Then, I took my shower and dressed up, ready to meet my husband at the new apartment.

I took a bike and had to drop by my husband's office so that we could go there together as he was with the keys. Unfortunately, before I arrived at his office, he had left the house. I immediately walked to the house as it was closer to his office. We had to first clean the windows, and scrub the toilets and the floor. It was tedious work because the old tenant left a lot of dirt around and we had to clean up everything.

After the thorough cleaning, I was so exhausted and wished to return home to shower and go to bed for a good night's rest. That was not the case as I had to cook for the family. I left for a building material store to buy some cleaning materials to clean the carpet and sweep the house, and a toilet brush.

I needed something to cook faster and save me the stress. I cooked fried rice and served the kids to eat. My husband and I were so tired that even to eat was more than us. We struggled and fed the kids.

After cooking, I heated water and bath the kids and also took my bath. It was an evening for the official opening of the Olympic Games 2024 in France. We watched every moment of the ceremony. I loved the choreography and it was unique.

It was indeed a colourful event and I enjoyed every bit of the ceremony. I concluded my day by logging into Steemit and doing the needful before going to bed. Until my next diary session guys, it is goodnight from my end.
