Some of you may be thinking about what the image I am sending to accompany my daily report refers to, it is nothing particularly elaborate, we are simply collecting, inside that jar, the organic waste, but really only the organic waste (such as peels of vegetables, fruit, coffee pods, etc. etc.), remain in storage for some time, then this material will become a sort of organic fertilizer, which will be spread in the new vegetable garden that we are creating in the back of our house...

It is not the first time that we have had an experience of this kind, a previous attempt of this kind had been made by us just over ten years ago, when again on the initiative of my partner's son we started on that little adventure, we had planted salad, courgettes, aubergines, peppers (he had a particular passion for this vegetable, as he had planted different types and breeds of this specific vegetable), in short there was a bit of everything, unfortunately if the passion fades things go slowly to decay, so after a few years of profitable terrestrial attendance, with a vegetable garden that gave good satisfaction, he let things go to their fate and the vegetable garden was no longer made, with the practical result that we started to buy all the vegetables around, without having our own small local production...

Right now it seems that the passion has returned, the driving force behind everything is always him, the son of my partner, but in this 2nd experience, at least for the moment, he was promptly supported by me, as with the With the help of 2 spades we tilled the soil in practically the exact same way, he must have done just a couple of hours more than me, for the rest we carried out the work in perfect synergy, now the soil is almost ready to receive the seeds of the plants that you intend to grow, this morning a couple of fertilizers that you had ordered online also arrived, so towards the end of this month, at most the first days of next month, there will be actual sowing, I'm very curious to see these new plants grow, I will update you soon on these developments...

Qualcuno di voi forse starà pensando a cosa si riferisca l'immagine che invio a corredo del mio resoconto quotidiano, non è nulla di particolarmente elaborato, semplicemente stiamo raccogliendo, dentro a quel vaso, gli scarti organici, ma veramente solo quelli organici (tipo bucce degli ortaggi, frutta, cialde del caffè, ecc.ecc.), rimangono in deposito per qualche tempo, poi questo materiale diventerà una sorta di concime organico, che verrà sparso nel nuovo orto che stiamo realizzando nel retro della nostra abitazione...

Non è la 1° volta che facciamo un'esperienza del genere, un precedente tentativo del genere era stato da noi fatto poco più di una decina di anni fa, quando sempre per iniziativa del figlio della mia compagna siamo partiti in quella piccola avventura, avevamo piantato insalata, zucchine, melanzane, peperoni (aveva una passione particolare per questo vegetale, in quanto aveva piantato diverse tipologie e razze di questo specifico ortaggio), insomma c'era un po' di tutto, purtroppo se la passione si affievolisce le cose vanno lentamente a decadere, per cui dopo qualche anno di proficua frequentazione terrestre, con un orto che dava buone soddisfazioni, ha lasciato andare le cose al loro destino e l'orto non è stato più fatto, con il risultato pratico che abbiamo ripreso a comprare tutta la verdura in giro, senza avere una nostra piccola produzione locale...

Ora come ora sembra proprio che la passione sia ritornata, l'elemento trainante al tutto è sempre lui, il figlio della mia compagna, ma in questa 2° esperienza, almeno per il momento, è stato da me prontamente affiancato, in quanto con l'ausilio di 2 vanghe abbiamo dissodato il terreno praticamente nella stessa identica maniera, lui avrà fatto giusto un paio d'ore in più di me, per il resto abbiamo svolto il lavoro in perfetta sinergia, adesso il terreno è quasi pronto per ricevere i semi delle piante che si intende coltivare, questa mattina sono pure arrivati un paio di concimi che aveva ordinato on-line, per cui verso la fine di questo mese, al massimo i primi giorni del prossimo mese, ci sarà la semina effettiva, sono molto curioso di veder crescere queste nuove piantine, vi aggiornerò prossimamente su questi sviluppi...
