A remarkable platform has been created in 2017 named Maecenas. This is a milestone in the development of the art world of creation. In history, this was the first blockchain-based art platform. It made a huge change in the buying, selling, and owning of art. Initial days this thing was in a vulnerable situation as anyone could use their artwork for others but this market of the artwork which is basically creative work has got a standard set up for their trade and buying and selling. This innovative platform made a new way to art in the art trade by using blockchain technology to provide transparency and accessibility to art investors and collectors.
Maecenas was founded with the vision of democratizing the art market. The open-for-all and access to all are the key components of this platform with the help of the blockchain network. It is more inclusive and accessible to a wider audience. By using blockchain technology, Maecenas was able to create a decentralized marketplace where art is tokenized.
This is another beauty of the blockchain network because with the help of tokens the buying and selling is so easy for the art collectors and sellers. Investors can buy and sell fractional ownership of artworks. This means that art lovers no longer have to purchase an entire piece of art, but can instead invest in a fraction of it. So the total art ownership is more affordable and liquid.
