Does scolding a child in a good way a wrong thing? I think is the best thing to do anytime a child goes wronged. This is the only way, he or she will become a better person for himself/herself, to the family and society at large. Let see what life holds for Akineze who refuses to show his son the right path of life.

Akineze had a son who's mother left right from when he was 5month old. He try his best to care and protect the baby, making sure the baby is safe. As day passing, Akineze thank God for giving him the energy to care for his son Osuji.

When Osuji grows to a stage of knowing what is right and wrong. His father begin to teach him how to perform a simple house chores, how to respect elder etc. He followed his father instructions and everyday Osuji try to keep the house clean while his father now make sure he doesn't lack anything in the house incase his son is in need of any.

In all this love and care Akineze show his son Osuji. He fail to scold him anything he does something wrong, thinking that when he raise his voice on the son or give him punishment or beat him, his neighbors will think he can't care for the boy.

One day, Akineze return back home and find out that the meal he keep for himself and his son to eat in the evening and sleep till the following day has been finished by his son. Instead of him to beat the boy or tell him that going to eat the leftovers meal that was meant for dinner 🥣 was wrong, he quietly ignore and went in to prepare another meal for them to eat.

Another day Akineze prepare chicken, keep and went to the market to get things that will be use to make sauce for them to eat. Returning back, he meet his son eating one side of the chicken laps. He thought his son is just eating only that one lap. Unfortunately, opening the chicken pot to check on the reminding ones, Akineze saw only the chicken bones inside the pot.

Akineze kept quiet, stood and ponder for awhile. Thinking 🤔 on what to do, his mind remind him that when he shout at the boy his neighbors will hear and they will think that he cannot take care of his son. He decided to swallow it on his stomach.

Osuji continue this bad character until one day when he was playing football in the neighborhood and his football got inside one of neighbors compound. Jumping the fence to get the ball, his eyes got on a neighbor food display in the dining table. Osuji didn't remember that, is not his father house.

He sneak inside the house and begin to enjoy himself. The maid in the house coming out to meet Osuji eating the food that was meant for her boss and seeing him for the first time begin to shout thief, thief, thief, thief. Osuji took up immediately and run. People seeing him running and the maid shouting thief and running after Osuji make people to catch him and begin to beat him up.

Luckily to him, his father returning home, see people with sticks, stone shouting beat him, beat him. Get close to see who is the thief. Reaching the place, he found out that his son is the victim. Before he could plead the people to have mercy on him and to know what exactly he stole, Osuji couldn't stands the pains.

During the beating, his head was seriously hit which make him bleeds and before Akineze his father could save him, Osuji bleeds and died. His death made Akineze regret his actions taken when his son started stealing.
