Hello my dear Steemians,

Are you a smoker or not?

I am not a smoker and never smoked. I am very glad that it turned this way and maybe because of my family, my grandparents and parents nobody smoked. I believe, for children it is important to have healthy environment, so that they do not have any exposure to smoke and also people who smokers. I remember our guests who smoked and myself when I smelled that first time and did not get enough air and started to cough. Maybe that was the reason for me to hate smoke. Also I am glad that many public places forbid openly smoking.

Do you agree that spaces should have a notice indicating that they are smoke-free?

Yes, that is very important not only for those who do not smoke and want to visit the place but also for people who smoke, because I came across couple of times when people just smoked in such public places, because it was not written anywhere that it is not allowed. Many people know that nowadays people do not smoke in many places and even if it is not written anywhere they will not do. But as everywhere some people will argue saying that it is not officially demonstrated and you can not convince them.

Do you think that people who are smokers should reduce the amount of cigarettes they consume and move further and further away from closed places where they share with their family?

In my opinion smokers should respect the wishes of others who do not smoke and also their health. It is better if those people makes sure that they are away from non-smoking area and also that they do not smoke too much.

Do you agree with these campaigns in laws that the World Health Organization and all countries are establishing?

Yes, I fully support the campaign of WHO to promote non-smoking in order to protect their own health and the health of people around us. There are often young children and even babies who are not born yet and mother of a baby is pregnant, they have to respect live and do everything to give a birth to healthy child.

In your opinion, is the amount of cigarette smoke in the environment decreasing?

I do not think that the amount of cigarette smoke is decreasing, when I see young children in school and also pupils on the way to school they gather together and smoke, no matter if girls or boys. Nowadays, they do not hide cigarettes even if they see police passing by, they do not even care.

I believe in teenage years it is cool to smoke, it gives an impression that a person is matured, adult but also that they do not care about what other adults and their teachers will say.

In this age they do not think about the harm that they do to their own body. Often they all convinced that they can stop any time, later on they say that they do not want to stop. On later stage they can develop chronic lung disease, worse case scenario is cancer of mouth, throat, gullet and lung.

Another reason, why young people ignore it maybe because when we young we think we will leave forever and do not appreciate life and a chance to live.

I am inviting following users for contest: @rumanaafroz, @sana-khan01, @vickyson
