Today was one of those perfect days which one will want to live time and over again. Starting off the day with the chilly weather outside, this could very well have had the one inside the bed, snugly. But not today. Today, it was all about being fit and having fun times together with friends.

Morning Workout: Jogging with Friends

I got up quite early in the morning when it was really cold outside. It was the best weather one can want for his morning jogging. Quickly, I had dressed up in my warm working clothes to go out and meet my friends @alli001 and @kidi40. This jog has been with us for quite a while, and this morning is just the best time we can have.

Since we began to jog, the cold air filled our lungs and, at this point, we became awake. The streets were empty; there was only a few here and there. We jogged down the neighborhood since, during morning, it's normally quiet. It was, in fact, much more easier to keep in step since it was extremely cold outside, as one doesn't get hot or all sweaty.

It's always more fun jogging with friends than alone. We could talk, laugh, share stories, and update one another on what we have been up to lately. In this way, time flew, and before we knew it, we had jogged quite a considerable distance. It keeps physical health in order: the heart strong, the lungs full of volume, it helps to keep body weight in order. And it is also quite an exciting way to start the day with a fresh burst of energy.

Healthy Habits: Staying Fit All Day

We had to run and then stretch up our bodies. Immediately after work out, one should do that always; it would keep the body flexible, not stiff with strain in the muscles. After this, we did other mild body exercises to develop our strength, like push-ups and squats.

It is not only a matter of workouts in the morning but also how one can manage to keep the body fit throughout the day. We had promised to drink plenty of water, reducing sweet drinks. Hydration makes the body perform excellently, and after a session in the gym, water is very important.

Lunch: Egusi Soup and Eba

It was afternoon already by the time we were through. We had been feeling so hungry, and therefore, we decided that we head for lunch to any local restaurant. Then, we went to a small local restaurant and ordered for two delicacies which included egusi soup with eba - a meal truly of the Nigerian culture.

My best dishes, including egusi soup, will be included. Some kind of soup from ground melon seeds mixed with leafy vegetables-both with or without meat or fish. It tastes very delicious and healthy. Eba is made from cassava flour; it gives good carbohydrates to provide energy after the workout.

We relished every morsel of our meal. However as we all know, a balanced diet is very important and to keep anybody fit. It provides our body with the nutrients we needed to recover from the workouts and to keep it healthy. We ate slowly and relished our food, which is also one of the good habits to avoid overeating.

Afternoon: Haircuts and Relaxation

In the afternoon, we did get haircuts. There is something about a new haircut that rejuvenates you; you just feel clean and confident. We went to our favorite barber, who always did an awesome job. We sat down, waiting for our turn and talking about what we would do with the rest of our day, having some laughs together.

Getting a haircut is little, but it forms part of taking care of oneself. Personal grooming has formed the part of general health and wellbeing. Self-esteem was built hence feeling good about yourself.

Evening: Fun at @kidi40's House

Evening started setting in, and all retired to our various homes for some rest. It was agreed that in the evening we were to reconvene at @kidi40's house, bringing the day to a great closure while having fun with the jolly good friends present. At @kidi40's house was a play of games, eaten Afang soup, palm wine, movie watched-just being with one another. Laughter and fun are stress-releasing activities whereby with sanity, one will remain very happy. Friends were termed the best way out to be able to spend your leisure time to recreate your moment.

Conclusion: A Day Well Spent

Today was just a perfect mix of fitness, healthy habits, and fun with friends. The morning jog just set the pace so well; maintaining healthy habits throughout the day made us energetic and full of joy. Yummy and wholesome lunch, afternoon self-care which included haircuts and relaxation, an evening full of laughs and joys spent at @kidi40's house.It does not have to be a chore keeping fit and healthy; it can be quite fun, especially when one has good friends with whom to share the time.
