***Do you think smoke alarm should be planted in the kitchen or else where? And is it important to have it? ***

 

It is always a question where you should have smoke alarm, I also thought that the best place is in kitchen, but on other hand it is often that even sometimes when you cook you might have slight burned food for example on pan and not real fire or smoke but the smoke detector is very sensitive and even small amount of smoke could trigger the signal. Also what we have experienced from the past that even a steam could sometimes trigger the smoke detector. That is why we decided that the best is to place the smoke detector in the corridor just when it goes out of kitchen. We do not have a door in kitchen, so it is an open space between kitchen and corridor.

 

 

 

If you have an emergency fire outbreak in the kitchen what do you do?

 

It is always difficult to imagine such situation and also to decided what to do. I think first of all if there is still running gas then that should be stopped. Maybe to grab a big and thick blanket and cover the area of fire just to cut off oxygen access. If there is a fire extinguisher then to use that to fight the fire. Make sure that you do not open a window and let everyone know who is in apartment and let them out, call emergency service.

 

What decor elements do you have in your kitchen? How do you think the color, lighting, and outdoor views affect your mood?

 

In our kitchen we have everything very simple, we like monochrome colours, therefore, it is metallic gray for cupboards and equipment but the wall we decided to do white. That gave a nice contrast. In the future we might use slight beige colour instead of pure white, to give a bit of soft and warm colour. We have a calendar which is very important just to keep an eye on events and schedules. Also we have a writing board just for quick notes.

I definitely think that the colour, décor everything influences you mood. I love what we have now, it is simple but modern, we also love cooking and often do cook from scratches.

 

Do you enjoy watching cooking shows? What cooking shows have you watched this season?

 

I am not a fan of cooking show, I like to experiment myself, I prefer the cooking books and I love to watch videos on youtube and see how the normal people like us cooking and sharing their tips, usually such recipes are simple and with using easy accessible products. I really enjoy them and many of them became our routine cooking dishes too.
