TELL YOUR STORY #21

She shines, but for her it is really dark. On the inside, she cries for help but on the outside her eyes are definitely dry.
Would I say, she is no ordinary girl. She acts up so strong and courageous, breaking tenderly inside. No one knows her pain while stepping out, she covers her agony with a make up full of smiles. No don't let her down. She is just a child suffering from family problems oh just a girl struggling to be free from the yoke of pains.
Often depressed, the shoulder she was to cry on had turn to thorns that had choked her to death. Suffocating on the inside yet, breathing finely on the outside. Enough, torture me not and hear me out.
As slender as she was they touched her being so tender. She battled every day of her life. Being secretive is good but at this point it did no good. She needed one to trust, one to confide in but, "Trust is the hardest thing to find but the easiest to lose". She lost it.
"Get out "
The teacher said.
"You ugly duckling whom escaped to mix among groups of cultured and civilized individuals".
It sank down. The hurtful words she was told found a place in, like a rabbit wrapped up in coil by the snake, breaking, cracking and devouring it's prey, the word sank down and ate her deep.
Her self esteem had been trembled upon again. This time by the teacher she loved, trusted and believed in so much.
"How could she"??
"That's the skinny girl, oh so sad.
"She looks old".
" Do you remember the ugly duckling we read about"?
" Could she be this short?"
The voice kept re echoing and ringing in her head.
She withdrew to her shell.
Her shell became her hiding and resting place away from the preying crowd and murmuring faces. She became comfortable staying on her own no one could ever know the pains that comes too.
The family was no exemption. They scolded and laugh at her for her being too thin. Comparison became the order of the day. Tears became her breakfast, launch and dinner.
She cried severely because, she needed her confidence back she needed to be that girl who walked with confidence and stared at the little creature God had created. She needed that girl who believed she was way too pretty. She needed to come out of that shell. Trusting no one , she decided to walk out of the shell, so she took a journey a bold and authentic one .
While tearing up, the first thing that came across her mind was a Bible. She recalled her Sunday school teacher taught about finding answers from the Bible. Turning over the bible, Psalm 139:14 laid in her very before.
"I will praise you because I know that I am fearfully and wonderfully made . Your works are wonderful I know that full well".
She cried for having made herself have a low self esteem. She determine within herself to let no talk affect her.
She glowed daily after taking such authentic step. By letting God allow her realize herself and potential. She stood in the game to fight against body shaming of any kind, she also helped talk individuals into boosting of their high self-esteem. It grew rapidly because she was once a victim whom had gone through series of abuse but made it out.
Moral lesson:
People will always criticize, so keep your confidence intact believe you are beautiful and handsome, empowering and talented.
Whatever you do,keep going, keep moving don't
stop.
