# ▶️ For this week's contest, we want you to tell us all about who your "Romeo and Juliet" is. In other words, who is the right match for you?

Many love stories are very inspiring to all of us. Speaking of love stories, there is a love story from the land of Arabia that is more legendary than just the story of Romeo and Juliet. It's the love story of Laila and Majnun, and I'm going to invite you all to take lessons in our lives from that love story.

❣️ Love Story of Laila and Majnun

Once upon a time, there was a man named Qais who fell in love with Laila, they both fell in love with each other. But unfortunately, Laila's father did not approve of their relationship and chose to marry Laila to a rich merchant.

Qais's hopes of being able to live with Laila were dashed, finally Qais chose to leave his house and be alone in the wilderness, people said that Qais was crazy, crazy people at that time were referred to as Majnun.

During her marriage to the rich merchant, Laila was not happy. Every day Laila always missed Qais, the man she loved more, because she was so drunk with longing that it stressed Laila to death.

The news of Laila's death was known by Qais, so Qais moved to leave the forest to go to Laila's grave. Qais cried endlessly for days over Laila's grave until he forgot to eat and drink, then Qais died because he was busy crying over losing Laila. Qais' body was finally buried next to Laila's grave as a sign of inseparable love despite the tragic end.

📖 Lessons learned

From the love story of Laila and Majnun that I have told above, there are several important things that can be a lesson for all of us in living life:

1.Happiness is not because of wealth

Laila's parents hoped to marry her off to a wealthy merchant because they wanted to see their daughter live happily with lots of wealth, and have all the needs in her life. But unfortunately, a lot of wealth does not necessarily guarantee a happy life? Therefore, one of the ways to choose a life partner in order to get happiness is to choose a partner who can understand, understand, care, love, and care for each other.

There is a lot of evidence that happiness cannot be achieved only with wealth, one of which we often see top artists where they have abundant wealth, luxury homes, luxury cars, they have everything but not necessarily their marriages are happy, their marriages only last for corn.

But we have also seen couples around us who live in deprivation and what they are, but they can accept each other, their marriage is full of moments of intimacy and happiness.

2.Controlling Love Drunkenness

Drunk in love is better than drunk with alcohol, drunk in love is fine but we must have a drug to control the hangover, a hangover that cannot be controlled will definitely damage the human body and mind.

There are people who say that the world is not as wide as a moringa leaf, when we lose a partner either because of death, or because the relationship is not approved by his parents, then the best choice is for us to be patient because God must have a better and more beautiful plan for us.

Photo of my wife @ravikadevy, the story of when I was in love and our hopes of getting married were not approved by our parents.

I want to tell you a little bit about my experience when I was drunk in love. In January 2018 I got acquainted with a woman who later became my lover, three months after getting acquainted I was sure to immediately marry the woman I loved, we seemed to always want to live together and did not want to be separated anymore. But the request to get married immediately was not approved by his parents, they reasoned that he had to immediately complete his undergraduate education which took up to 4 years.

I patiently waited, but in that patient process I bravely always convinced his parents to allow us to get married immediately, what did I say to convince his parents, "I said which is more important between world affairs completing undergraduate education and getting married? Getting married carries out the commandments of the prophets and apostles and gets the value of reward and worship."

It took more or less 3 years for me to be patient and try to convince his parents, my words were finally able to change the thinking of the parents of my beloved, they agreed that marriage was more important than the business of completing undergraduate education, even though they were married there was not a single obstacle that would be an obstacle to completing undergraduate education.

And finally on August 18, 2020 we held a legal marriage ceremony according to the rules of law and applicable laws, we also enjoyed a happy life together in joy and sorrow by accepting each other's shortcomings.

3.Don't ruin other people's relationships

Going back to the story of Laila and Majnun, the question that needs to be addressed is why did the rich merchant still want to marry Laila after knowing that Laila still loved Qais? The rich merchant should have known that the woman he married did not love him but loved someone else.

If he was wise he would have undone his intention to marry Laila and let her live happily with Qais. This means that in this life we should not be the destroyer of other people's relationships.
