A kitchen is a room or a place set aside in the home where food is prepared through different processes and also cooked.
Just like the mitochondria, the kitchen is also known as the power house of the home. This particular room (kitchen) in the home is the heart of a home, a symbol of care, unity and wisdom passed from generations to generations. There is even an adage in my place that says "a busy kitchen connotes a happy tummy".

As a person and a lady, the kitchen is one of my favorite places at home. I mean I simply love playing mummy, planning meals, shopping for their ingredients and cooking the meals. I like the magical moments where step-by-step procedures can produce a taste pleasing to the taste buds. It also gives me a sense of accomplishment when someone eats the meal I prepared with great enjoyment. I also enjoy the attention I get when I want to try a new recipe or meal.

Apparently, I do not live alone, so I share in my mummy's kitchen. We have both the traditional (kitchen detached from the main building) and a modern kitchen. We have some kitchen machines ranging from the electric blender, electric kettle, gas cooker, oven, hand mixer, bread toaster etc, but the most commonly used machine is the blender and the cooker. I hope to amass this kitchen equipment bit by bit when I finally have a home. Cooking with the above kitchen equipment makes cooking fun, easier and less time-consuming.

Maintaining proper hygiene in the kitchen is important and to achieve this, I clean the kitchen regularly. I believe in the motto "clean as you work". This is because it becomes a more tedious task after cooking, so cleaning the kitchen is more than just a daily affair.

Apart from cooking in the kitchen, some days I eat in the kitchen. This act is totally dependent on my mood. I also listen to audio messages and music using my phone.

I would love a pressure pot and multifunctional chopper or slicer to be added to the collection of kitchen equipment at home. This is because cooking beans, especially the ones called aloka beans, are usually time-consuming, and can be curbed using the pressure pot and the chopper will also save lots of time and ensures bulk cutting or chopping of veggies.
