Hi everyone,

Hope you are keeping safe πŸ’ž

So today I'll be talking about how I spent my day on my personal to parade as a national youth service coper in Nigeria.

By the way here in Nigeria, national youth service is a compulsory one year service for every Nigerian graduate who graduated before or at the age of 30. Basically you do your registration or some sort of applications on their websites and after about few weeks posting comes out and in some cases you are posted outside your residential area or even state as the case may be.

Most times you are posted to the far north or the far East or the far west or the first out whatever be the case you have to start serving but some individuals end up applying for reposting especially on health or marriage ground but, in my own case I was posted to my state of residence. So that was a smooth sail for me.

So I started my national youth service 2023 April and I just concluded it this year 2024 April. That is exactly one year. In the course of the serving, you are also posted to a place of primary assignment and in my own case I was posted to a ministry of Justice been a lawyer and I enjoyed every bit of it.

So on the passing out parade, you are concluding with your service year and it shows that you were up and doing throughout your service year so you are expected to go get your certificate of completion just like what you have after your degree. So that was about it today. I headed to the secretariat where the parade is being conducted and I got there about 8:00 as stated in the secular earlier sent.

While I was approaching the venue, it seemed like I was so on time and I never liked this. But surprisingly, on getting there, I met some group of persons who came earlier than I did so I relaxed ☺️

So just few minutes later the place became so filled with people and we started submitting our forms but unknowingly to me, I forgot my ID card and without the ID card, you can't get your certificate so I rushed home immediately thankfully, I was early enough with the identification card.

Again we were asked to pay 1,500 naira so we can get the certificate but that wasn't really for the certificate, it was for the magazine so I paid and collected mine after so many hurdles. I finally got this and the next thing was taking pictures with my mates

Meanwhile a friend of mine came around who was also serving but this wasn't really happy you'll be happy hope you will be coming up by June. Below is a picture of myself and her.

So basically that was it about my passing out parade. Then I went for just a little outing in the evening just to celebrate myself and my one year of service. Devoted service at that.

I'm so happy I'm done with this face of my life because at some point it became so stressful the fact that something is taking your time and it's not paying you as much as you wanted to be earning all in the name of service.

So, Congratulations to me πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸŽŠπŸŽŠ
