Hello Steemians!! It's the makeup week again with a different interesting activity to be performed. Today we'll be doing a correct eyebrow and lip makeup.
Last week was eyeshadow application and now it's eyebrows and lips.
Eyebrows are one of the highlights of ladies makeup. If the eyebrow is not drawn correctly or if some areas are not concealed properly, it will definitely affect the overall look of the individual and would distort the appearance. Eyebrows are so important that even if the eyeshadow is done well but the eyebrows are crooked, that beautiful impact is greatly minimized if not diminished. The lips too are delicate and must be handled with care. A good lipliner, lipstick and lipgloss for a glossy or a matte finish should be shapely cut and fine and care must be taken to achieve a beautiful look.

💄 - Identify your eyebrow type and apply makeup according to its shape, achieving a gradient at the beginning of them. Also, show and explain if you used shadows, ointments or which of the existing products to apply makeup to them.

I have a softly arched eyebrow type as shown below. It is not high arched neither is it straight so I decided to google the types of eyebrows and I discovered the soft arched type, a description which totally fits mine😊

First, I used a razor to cut the eyebrows finely..it's the first step in eyebrow makeup..you know. Untrimmed eyebrows would not highlight the look well and yes it's optional. No I didn't use eyeshadow for today.

After trimming

My hair is somewhat light and scanty so I used a darker shade to give it a toned look. Next, I used my eyepencil to draw a line on the upper part of my eyebrows then I covered some empty spaces with the pencil using a thick eye brush to blend from the beginning.

Eyepencil, mascara wand, concealer and eye brushes

Next, I used my mascara wand to blend the line I drew at the uppermost part and give it a good finishing. After that, I used my concealer to give a defined line to the body of my brows.
Next, I used my blending brush to blend the concealer with my skin and I applied some powder to lessen the oil and give it a matte finish.

Before and after concealing and blending

💄 - Show the before, during and after of your lip makeup; performing the process of outlining them to perfect their shape. Also, research and explain what your lip type is and what is the correct way to apply makeup and outline them, whether they are droopy, thin, thick, asymmetrical, among others.

Nude Lipstick and lipstains

From my research, i discovered that I have a full lip type. It is full but mostly the lower lip is somewhat heavy. I wanted to give my lips a look that will highlight the fullness of the lips (lower lips in particular) so I chose a nude lipstick for the lower lips and a darker shade for the upper lips and I love that style and use it for most occasions😉
So first, I moisturized my lips to ensure that it is not dry or cracked as this may hinder the flow of the lipstick.

Next, I drew a line on it with my lipliner paying attention to the curves that are some inches to the top of my lip, I drew the left side and then the right then I joined both sides to the middle and drew the middle area lower than the both sides to define that area.

Next, I applied the nude lipstick to the lower part of my lips all round and blended it well without any break or cracks along the way.

Then I applied the darker shade of the lipstick at my upper lip and blended it well once more.
That simple look did the trick for me and it fits my skin tone too!

💄- After a while, our makeup products may expire or not be suitable for use; research and explain what are the characteristics to take into account to know when we should throw away these products to avoid future consequences.

If you notice any changes in appearance, or smell, that's a good sign to throw makeup products away and opt for new ones.
Some characteristics of old makeup products that should be thrown away are:
Dust or mould accumulating on eyeshadow or lipstick top.
Dusty smell or weird kind of smell oozing.
Eye itches or even turns red when you apply old mascara or eyeliner.
Old powder causing acne even after using the makeup for few hours and completely washing the makeup away.
Concealer removing water and other liquid which wasn't there in the first place (mine had this issue and I changed it immediately).

Foundation, powder and primer can last for 2 years at most. Lipstick should be used for a year. Mine finishes within six or seven months. Mascara and eyeliner should be replaced after six months too as this products are used for the delicate eyes. It could cause itchy eyes, burns, or blisters worse of all.
So to prevent these, check your products frequently and replace old ones.
Thanks for reading ♥️ ♥️
