Learning a trade is actually not an easy thing, it's quite challenging, but I had to muscle up, because the country today has actually become something else, your certificate sometimes don't just put food on the table for you like before.

My first experiment

So, after I graduated from the university this year January, I decided to enroll myself into some skills acquisition, in other back up my certificate, coz life after school my brother is not easy especially if you don't have a God-father, your certificate would have to wait for miracle or grace.

Therefore to me learning this tailoring is the best options for me, I have a brother who is also a tailor, for sure I won't going to find it very hard again, although I refuse to go and learn it at his shop, but when we return home, he usually put me through on what I don't know, so it becomes very very easy for me.

With my machine at home.

So my first experience, I learn how to cut trouser, the one with belt tag, it was my first training that my Oga taught me as well, follow by my brother at home I follow the procedures bid by bids it was easy, though is very challenging at first I had to use carton with needle and tread using my bare hands to sew the trouser before I was able to match the machine gradually, from February ending to now I can say I'm a great patcher😊.

What you need for your sewing is:

  • Good sewing machine
  • Thread
  • Scissor
  • Measuring tape
  • Pen and paper for recording sizes names of the customers etc.

Doing what I know best at home.

So with that, I can patch anything that is patchable, my brother was calling patching patches tailer,

About to sew native attire.

so in cutting the trouser you would have to fold the yard double, after measuring the waist, length, hips, thighs so as to get everything right without have to sew twice.Because there some crazy customers, if it's tight redo, if it's too wide redo, so sewing required deep wisdom and can be stressing at times, but there's profit.

Thank you all for reading through my blog.
