Epipremnum aureum – commonly known here as money plant is also known by many other names such as golden pothos, silver vine, devil's vine, devil's ivy, Solomon Islands ivy, hunter's robe, ivy arum, taro vine, feng shui money plant, etc. There are 18 varieties of Epipremnum aureum. Some of them are more distinguishable than others. Some varieties look very similar.

Epipremnum aureum are non-flowering plants. They are fast growing vining plants. They do well in a variety of light conditions, but not so much in direct sunlight. Epipremnum aureum have waxy, heart-shaped green leaves with yellow variegation. They are easy to care for, attractively leafy and popular choices for hanging baskets. They can grow in water. Of course, they grow a lot faster in soil.

People believed that epipremnum aureum are good luck plants, and growing them at home will attract energy of wealth and prosperity. Hence, they are popular houseplants. Apparently, they are also efficient at removing indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde, trichloroethene, touen, xylene, and benzene, making them one of top ten indoor plants.

Growing new plants
Snip a small section from the old plant and leave it in a jar with water. Roots will grow between a week to ten days. From there, you can transfer them to a pot.
