Explanation

Trying different drawings means gaining new experiences. Today, I am going to try something new. The community suggested drawing a jellyfish, so without further delay, let me share with you the steps of drawing a jellyfish.

Step 01

Upper side drawing1000033437.jpg

To start the jellyfish drawing, I gathered all the materials nearby. We all know that the top part of the jellyfish is umbrella-shaped, so I first drew the top part with a pencil. You can surely tell from the picture that it looks like an umbrella.

Step 02

Next, I drew the other parts of the jellyfish that are below the umbrella-shaped part.

Step 03

Using Gel pen1000033439.jpg

To make the drawing look more aesthetic, I tried to enhance it with a gel pen. The drawing is now complete, and I will move to the next step.

Step 04

In this step, I will start coloring. I first chose the top part for coloring, where I used black.

Step 05

Then, I tried to color the umbrella-shaped part with different colors. For each step, I used different colors. Here, I finished coloring the top part with a combination of blue, yellow, red, pink, and green.

Don’t forget to let me know in the comments how my drawing turned out. Thank you, everyone.

Below are the answers to all the questions mentioned in the contest.

What type of animal is it?.

Jellyfish is a sea creature without bones. It is made up most of its body with water and feels soft and jelly like. Jellyfish are cnidarians and usually are see through. These are carried by ocean currents as they move.

Have you ever seen one?

To be honest, I’ve never seen a jellyfish up close till today. I’ve only seen them in TV & mobile. it’s very rare to find it in a real life. In our country the jellyfish will be found in the deep water of the Bay of Bengal and thus don't come close to the coast. Jellyfish are kept in aquariums around the world in most places, people can see them there.

What use is it to humans?

Humans can use the jellyfish it in many ways. Scientists use these special proteins in research, often for diseases such as cancer. Jellyfish venom is also being studied to see if it can be used to make medicines for pain. But in Bangladesh there’s not much research on this yet, however in the future it could lead to new treatments for people.

What similaritiies does it have with an Octopus, if any?

Sea creatures without bones are jellyfish and octopuses. They also both have tentacles they use to get food. Their ways of living are different. It's a fairly smart fish and it uses its tentacles almost like hands. In order to be safe they adapt to their environment. Now, jellyfish just kind of float in the ocean currents and figure that nature will move them somewhere.
