In addition to having potential in terms of rice farming, my village also has a fairly promising coconut commodity potential. Even so far the coconut commodities that we produce have been successfully exported to various countries, including Thailand, China, and Singapore.

Uleemadon Village is one of three villages in Muara Batu Regency that has succeeded in producing its coconut commodities so prominently. The majority of our villagers grow coconuts. Not only that, from around 72,000 hectares of our village area, 63 percent is a coconut plantation area. So it is not surprising that our village has built an integrated coconut center.

So 92 percent of the population of our village Ulee Madon, from more than 2000 people, are Bugis people, and the majority of us do grow coconuts. Yes, this coconut garden can be said to be inherited. So we ourselves until now have inherited the coconut garden for us. Our village is one of those that dominates coconut gardens.

I think to increase or improve the price of coconuts, I think the welfare of the community really needs a cooperative to break the chain of middlemen. Because the chain is too long if we think so.

We harvest coconuts once every three months. In one harvest, from the 150 coconut trees we have, we can get 200 coconuts. To do the harvest, we are not alone, some residents help by being given wages of 300 to 500 Rupiah per fruit.

The problem of coconut farmers in our village is the price problem. Where the price of coconuts is only around 1900, to 2700 per fruit.

Coconut farmers in our village hope that the price of coconuts can be better. The existence of cooperatives in our village is eagerly awaited by coconut farmers in our village. Coconut farmers here think that with the presence of cooperatives, there is expected to be a new forum for coconut farmers to discuss and find solutions so that the price of coconuts gets better.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my simple blog.

Greetings always compact.
