Hey everyone,

I hope you are all doing well!

Four months ago, I have shared a post about my cousins baat pakki event. Today i am excited to share the beautiful moments from their nikah which was held today. It was a day full of love, laughter and cherished memories.

A Day in My Life

I woke up at 7:45 am and started my day with ablution and reciting the Holy Quran which always brings a sense of peace and grounding. After that i woke my sisters up and helped them get ready for school. When they left i had my breakfast and took a short nap.

By 11 am i woke up and ironed my clothes and complete some important tasks for the day. With a family event like this there is always a lot to prepare but i enjoy the hustle and bustle.

At 3 pm we started getting ready for the event. The excitement in the house was palpable as everyone was dressed up in beautiful outfits. We left for my phupo’s house (the groom’s house) shortly after. Since the groom’s family had arranged the highest we all went from the groom’s side together.

After reaching to my phupo’s house we waited for a little while as the boys were busy loading the bari into the car. The bari is always a significant part of the event and the family had put so much thought and effort into it. Once everything was ready we left for the bride’s place which was about an hour away.

The nikah was to take place at my phupo’s sister-in-law’s house (the bride’s phupo’s house) and the ceremony was timed with the Maghrib prayer. We reached there before half an hour so we girls quickly got to work setting up the bari for everyone to admire.

Then i took some selfies with my cousins.

The excitement and nervousness on her face were adorable and we all made sure to make her feel special and loved. We then gathered to take group pictures with the bride.

The nikah ceremony began as the Maghrib prayer approached. The bride sat gracefully surrounded by family as the officiant asked her the all-important question. The moment she said “Qabool hai” was met with cheers, smiles and heartfelt congratulations from everyone present.

While the groom and other gents headed to the mosque for his part of the nikah, we continued celebrating with the bride. When the groom returned it was time for more congratulations. Both families embraced each other with joy, symbolizing the union of two lives and two families.

Next came the cake-cutting ceremony. A beautifully designed cake was brought out and the groom and bride cut it together.

The family gathered around for the rasam where we all fed the bride and groom slices of the cake. It was a moment filled with laughter and love. My parents did rasam.

Then me and my elder sister fed the cake to bride and groom.

All the cousins then posed with the bride and groom for some fun and candid pictures.

Afterward dinner was served and it was a feast to remember. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it together.

Once the dinner was done it was time to pack up the bari again and load it into the car for the return journey. We accompanied the groom’s family back to their house and spent some more time together. Finally we returned home.

Weddings are not just about ceremonies, they are about family, love and togetherness. Today was a day filled with heartfelt moments, laughter and joy.
