During the past year, I had to work on many trainings conducted for both internal employees and external parties. It was kind of a challenging task, but at the same time, it provided me with a lot of experience. I am thankful for the "Train the Trainers" session that took place last Wednesday, as it provided me with additional tips and practices to become a better trainer.

This workshop was organized for seven selected employees who have to deal with trainings frequently. The speakers were Dan, Ken, and Tharindu Amerasekare was the core speaker.

Initially, I had no clue what to expect. However, with the first activity, I started to feel excited about the day.

During the first few hours, they provided us with insights into how difficult it can be to learn and use something we are unfamiliar with. They taught us some drumming techniques, and then we were assigned to come up with a beat. Through this exercise, we realized how it feels to be a trainee and how challenging it can be to understand something new.

We were then taught how to understand the audience, the three golden rules of effective training, how to keep the audience engaged, how to design activities to convey messages to the audience, and many other important aspects.

Every minute of the session was truly valuable, as I gained numerous ideas from the speakers to enhance my trainings.

Additionally, we were provided with delicious snacks, drinks, and lunch throughout the session. I truly appreciate the organization of this event.
