Another Goodbye

The last apartment that I was boarded was the place that taught me to manage household chores independently. Up until my third year at university, I was boarded with my big sis but she made me stay my final year by myself to teach me to manage my work independently. So my friend and I rented a floor as an apartment for the final year.

Since it was only us two, we pretty much did all the work by ourselves but we got a person to spoil and pamper us even at that setting. It was our boarding owner who was a very lobing and giving lady. She would send us food whenever she cooked something yummy, she took care of us when we get sick and she even sent a servant to clean our place from time to time when we had exams and internships. She lived on the floor above us and we used to invade her place whenever we had something to gossip, but I talked mostly with her was shopping and frock designs.

It was finally time to say goodbye to the boarding since our fam shifted into Colombo. I wanted to give her a lil gift for looking after me like a parent during my time there. What I selected as a gift was a frock material and a matching pair of earrings for that because she always buys frock materials and earrings to match those and I would recommend some designs to her. It is very rare to meet people like her specially in the boarding life. I invited her to visit us at our home because it is only a 30mins journey from her place.

When I shifted all my belongings from boarding to our house, I had to face another issue. My excessive purchases were revealed infront of my mum as I had like five times of stuff compared to what I took to the boarding. Even my boarding aunt told that she didn’t see me carrying much luggage when coming to the boarding but I was having so much of bags to bring back home 👀 Guess I’ll have to do lots of unpacking and organizing at home now 😅
