December, the month of joy and celebration means a lot as this month bring along with them a lot of excitement and activities. I wanted to wish everyone that you’re enjoying the good winter days that you spend with friends and families. Today I have had a superb day despite many activities in the whole day and it ended up with a lovely event.

The day started in the morning and, after I woke up, I tried to get ready for a packed day. I had two programs set for today, the first one being a certificate awarding ceremony at our community welfare center. This event was meant to celebrate people who have undergone sewing and embroidery courses and successfully finished them.

In fact, I got to the venue much before the arrival of our esteemed chief guest. Everything was beautiful and to my delight I took a number of shots to immortalize the scene. After the arrival of the chief guest we welcomed her and the program started.

Actually it was my privilege that I have shared the stage with the chief guest after her while helping her in distributing certificates among the participants. The look of sheer happiness and pride on their faces I felt privileged to serve this purpose of this important event. For even more appeal we also gave special prizes to the best performers, which made a big bonus to the event.

Finally, once the program was over we proceeded to the banquet hall where lunch was served. The food was great and the company great too, because afterwards people mixed around and engaged in light banter. It was the turn to pay our respects to our chief guest after which I went home for some relaxation.

Then came the evening for another event and this was held at my husband’s office. Lights were placed beautifully all over the office which gave that enjoyable and Christmas feel.

It was only while being with friends that the surprise occurred. This was especially so as our commandant’s wife whom we fondly address as Bhabi had gone ahead to arrange a make believe belated anniversary party for us! Ours was in September but Bhabi had forgotten the date when it was due; hence she agreed to do it now. I immediately received so many nice words and kind thoughts that I could not say anything. They set up a beautiful and yummy cake for us to cut Two of us shared the cake with my husband, his colleagues and their wives. I received a lovely saree from them as a gift.

In conclusion to the day, I can only express my joy for such incredible things that I was able to shoot. Token of appreciation for a community event, surprise anniversary celebration and more made the day happy, lovely and memorable. It reminded me of the beauty of connections & magnanimity of people around me in general. December is really a master of making magic in our lives and today was one of its best examples. These moments I will remember in my heart my whole life.
