Is a tall perennial cane belonging to the family of Poaceae. It is one of several so-called reed species. Arundo donax grows in damp soils, either fresh or moderately saline & is native to the Greater Middle East which has been widely planted and naturalised in the mild temperate, subtropical and tropical regions of both hemispheres, especially in the Mediterranean, California, the western Pacific & the Caribbean & is considered invasive in North America & Oceania. It has several common names including giant cane, elephant grass, carrizo, arundo, Spanish cane, Colorado river reed, wild cane & giant reed. It’s primarily used for the management of cold, running nose & allergic rhinitis. This remedy also addresses symptoms like itching, bleeding gums & fissures on the tongue.
