Too Late... Missed the Boat

A person has an appointment and knows they are supposed to be there at a certain time. To keep the appointment different people approach the task in three different ways. On time, late and too late. They're package deals.
The "on time package"
A person tends to be clean, organized, focused and peaceful.

The "late package"
A person tries to be clean, would like to be organized, tends to be distracted and tries to do too much.

The "too late package"
A person is unclean, disorganized, confused and lacks motivation.

Of course on time is preferable. Late can be acceptable. But too late misses the boat every time.
