Shutdown averted.

I don't know all of the changes made, but 1,547 pages of spending turned into 118 pages, and some of the stuff with huge congressional salary raises and the global engagement center was removed.
All the talk about how irresponsible Trump and Musk were being, well... the end result of their efforts at a glance seems to have been making a bad bill less bad, at very least.
But the end result wasn't a government shutdown, a cancellation of disaster relief, a disruption of services, or any of the stuff people were worried about. It was a bill that, it seems to me, does most of the major things touted by the original, while doing less of the add-ons and handouts.
I'm not saying this is some great bill that passed or something, I'm saying the sky isn't falling and we're taking a smaller step in the same bad direction.
