Happy Sunday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.The last Sunday of April😹. It's another 24 hours to be grateful for and as the day fades away, am raring to go with my stepping activities of the day including some of the trending stories I came across. Hopefully your Sunday is coming along nicely too, we are blessed. Thank you for being here and let's get cracking 💨.
So just like yesterday, I kicked off with the fast paced morning session. Thoroughly enjoyed the cool morning breeze 🍃 as I made my way around the neighborhood 🌲. But it was a short walk. Then I was back indoors for some rest and the daily household chores. A little bit of youtube and cooking then the afternoon saw me go out walking in the hills. Next came the refreshing nap💤. I woke up some time later in the evening and continued watching some of the earlier videos and news. Some interesting EPL matches were on; Arsenal are on a roll.
I did finish off the day with the slow paced evening walk. Now let's quickly take a look what has been trending in the media streets.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a quiet Sunday.
Globally, another day of bloodshed in Gaza as Israeli airstrikes pounded the south and central regions.
66 Palestinians killed in the past 24 hours😿. The total death toll as announced by Gaza health ministry is 34,454😭.
There's still that looming threat of a ground invasion in Rafa. The white house says president Biden had talks with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. Rafa being a key issue.
In the other war, Ukrainian soldiers are being overwhelmed on the war front🙀.
Russian attacks are pushing Ukrainians back and caused them to withdraw from positions in eastern Donetsk😿.
Georgia trending, as protesters took to the streets of Tbilisi to oppose the new foreign agent bill from being passed by parliament.
Across the pond in the US, hundreds of university students were arrested as pro Palestinian protests kept going in several campuses in different states🙀.
Finally in crazy weather, a couple of tornadoes have been reported in China. Let's hope everything goes back to normal. All's well that ends well💯.
