First time visiting High Tide Eatery & Bar

Hello everyone.
Recently, I had the opportunity to have dinner at High Tide Eatery & Bar for the first time, and it was a memorable experience. From the moment I walked in, I felt the restaurant had a unique charm. As I entered, I was greeted by beautiful plants decorating both the interior and exterior of the restaurant. One of the highlights that made it particularly interesting and that I really liked was the view of the Chao Phraya River, with Iconsiam, a famous shopping mall in Bangkok, on the opposite bank.
First, I must mention that if you want to sit with a view of the Chao Phraya River, you need to book about a week in advance. If you walk in, you might not be able to choose a riverside seat. I personally made a reservation a week before visiting High Tide Eatery & Bar.
Overall, High Tide Eatery & Bar is a small restaurant that focuses on creating a romantic atmosphere, making it perfect for dinner or an evening hangout with colleagues. I noticed that just before sunset, the view becomes even more beautiful, enhancing the already impressive ambiance of the restaurant.
When I arrived at the restaurant, I couldn’t resist taking out my phone to capture the surroundings because it was truly beautiful. You have to experience it for yourself, and you’ll understand that what I’m saying is no exaggeration.
As evening falls and the sky darkens, the beauty of the Chao Phraya River comes to life, with reflections from Iconsiam and the glowing lights of dinner cruises sailing along the river. It creates a mesmerizing and unforgettable atmosphere.
After I finished taking photos of the beautiful surroundings, I immediately started feeling hungry, haha. Of course, I couldn’t miss out on ordering some food, especially since the restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, with a focus on Thai cuisine. I decided to order the German pork knuckle, which was incredibly delicious—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It paired perfectly with the dipping sauce.
The next dish I ordered was Tom Kha Gai. The soup here is made with coconut milk and has a tangy and salty flavor. Paired with hot steamed rice, the taste becomes even more balanced and satisfying. I highly recommend trying these two dishes! I didn’t order much food since it was just the two of us dining.
We wrapped up the meal with drinks, opting for a pint of beer and a cold Coca-Cola. Sipping these beverages while enjoying the delicious food and the impressive atmosphere made the experience even more special. Dining with the view of the Chao Phraya River and the reflections from Iconsiam made the evening truly memorable. It was the perfect end to a wonderful night, filled with joy and satisfaction.
