Hello friends...
Greetings to you all, hope you are all doing good! I'm @ibraheem75 from Nigeria, I'm superb delighted to participate on this fantastic contest titled: "Picture of the day week-17" organized by @ashkhan in this noble community.
Corp member on my left is a yuroba, on my right close to me is a Kambari, a Hausa man from the North, while the other one is from plateau State Nigeria. You can see the smiles on our faces, it does not sound tribal or black nor white but happiness and perhaps Unity, as the scheme implies.
My little Story from atteded national youth orientation camp, at Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State, Nigeria.👇 |

National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) was introduced in Nigeria to foster National Unity among the Nigeria citizens after the 1967-1970 Nigeria civil war, at that time there was fear of secession, and lack of unity in the entire country.
So during my three weeks (24A, 17/04 - 07/5/2024) experiences in the NYSC camp in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu state, was wow, it was an unending experience which I never wanted it to end so fast, though the first week was hell especially the sound of biggle in the morning, but after some day's it was fun that I never wanted to let go (laifi dadi karewa).
During the camp, me and my roommate at first we were total strangers, we both came from different part of the country, mixed with both religious, but when we started getting along, you hardly tell whether this one is a Christian, Hausa, yuroba or even Igbo, we became one body, and exciting part of it is that, we used each other's property like bathing rubber, soap, drinkable all together, there's sense of belonging and oneness among us.
When we are all group into unit in the camp call platoon, which I happened to be in platoon 5, that unite us the more, coz every platoon is targeted at the award price at the end of every competition, coz there are lot of competitions and varieties which all platoon has to participate, so we all had to come together to represent our platoon, irrespective of our background or religion.
Luckily for me I met so many friends from the opposite religion, of a truth they treat me like their own brother, they provide for me, took care of me shower me with love, especially, the time I fell ill in the camp, they shower me with so much care and attention, as if we've known each other's for long, but is just within a few weeks of our arrival not even up to three weeks but we blend and become like one Soul. I applaud the federal government of Nigeria for that wonderful initiative, and indeed, it's a previlledged and I'm honor to be part of it in my life. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria, God bless NYSC officials for your wonderful efforts so far and finally, God bless the regime of lieutenant General Yakubu Gowon, the former head of state for introducing NYSC to Nigeria scheme, with the aim of promoting unity among the Nigerian citizens.
Remember with Unity we can fight bad governance and corruption in our dear nations, with unity we can make the world a better place for all whether white or black, we are all humans with blood runs through our veins, let's unite and live in peace as One.
On this note I would like to invite @goodybest @josepha, @owulama and @starrchris to also participate.
Thank you all for reading through my blog, I love you all 💓.
