The Science of Climate Change
Global warming is one the most relevant scientific issues of the modern society. In reference with climate change, this means long-term changes in the earth’s average temperature and climate systems that are mainly driven by human actions including; combustion of fossil fuels, clearing forests and industrial processes. These practices emit green house gases such as carbon dioxide and methan which contribute to the green house effect –global warming.
In this paper, an analysis of the effects of climate change on countries of the world will be made. Retreating polar ice means additional water with regards to sea level hence endangering shorelines. Hurricane, drought, heat wave etc are such events that are occurrence more frequently and intensively. Moreover, ecosystems and biodiversity are still at risk due to built-in failure to adapt to the emerging environmental conditions.
World is already seeing researchers, developing different products to reduce the effects of climate change such as solar energy, carbon dioxide capture, and storage. This is a big problem and this requires the engagement of international communities for the future of our world.
