I suppose I should say that I am just grateful that the places in my neighborhood even try to have signs in English at all because they certainly aren't obligated to do so. Every now and then the butchering of the translation is so bad or convoluted that I can't really tell what they are trying to inform their customers about. Here is one of those examples that was spotted a minimart that is near my house recently.

I can't read Vietnamese but the presence of the word "Meo" I think is the word for cat in the language so maybe this isn't a question of them getting a translation wrong but just not wording it very well. In this part of town people frequently bring their dogs with them to shops and restaurants and this is allowed for the most part. They are very liberal about letting customers do basically whatever the hell they want to.

I haven't seen people bringing cats into shops though and this sign made me think of a meme I saw not that long ago.

Did someone bring a cat in and the animal just went ape-shit wild and wrecked the place?
