I have been experimenting with the Uber Eats equivalent that we have here in Da Nang. It is called Grab and it is essentially the same thing. While I do feel bad about the amount of money that they take from the businesses as I have heard it can be up to 30% I'm just as lazy as the rest of the population.

There was a commercial on TV yesterday on an international channel about this pizza from Pizza Hut called "The Edge" where it is a thin crust pizza where the bring the toppings all the way to the edge of the pizza. I hate a doughy crust on a pizza so I really wanted that, plus I also really like crispy pizza. Therefore, I was definitely going to order this.

Since this is still Vietnam though I had my suspicions that the specials in the US or wherever this advert was coming from wasn't going to be available here and sure enough, it was not. Not only did Pizza Hut not have the Edge pizza but their prices were outrageous considering the economics of this area. A large 1 topping pizza was going to cost nearly $18 and while that might be normal back in the US I'm not paying that much for a pizza here. I had to seek out other options.

I ended up shopping around and found an unusual something or other at a place called "4C's". It was a pepperoni wrap and it looked gourmet as hell.

It was around $4 including delivery so I wasn't expecting very much but $4 is pretty damn cheap so I figured what the hell.

It arrived in fancier packaging than I am accustomed to and while I do not like to see this level of waste, at least it wasn't the usual non-biodegradable styrofoam that a lot of places use.

The food itself of course looked nothing like the picture but this was expected.

So there were a couple of issues with this delicacy: One, it contained exactly zero pepperoni. I know the difference between salami and pepperoni and this was definitely the former. They tried to make up for the lack of spicy kick by putting these peppers on it and it was good, I'm not saying that it wasn't, it just wasn't pepperoni. Perhaps the owners don't understand the difference or their customers don't care. I know the difference though and it irritates me when people get that wrong. I've been told that pepperoni is an almost entirely American notion though, so whatever. I'm not going to kick up a fuss about it.

The second problem I had was that it was not enough food. This was what I would consider a snack, not a meal and at $4 I guess I got what I paid for.

I did like that it was really crispy though and I would probably order this again in the future - I would just need to order something else as well.

So If you live in Da Nang I can recommend ordering from 4C's at least from the one item I have ever had from them.
