Greetings:

  • Asslam o Alaikum and Hello everyone!

  • How are you all? I hope you all are well and good and having a great and wonderful day. May Almighty Allah bless you all with HIS countless blessings 🥰💕

So guys today we will talk about the ELECTRIC CURRENT. Electric current is one of the most important and discussed topic in the field of physics specially in electronics. We face the electronics, electrical energy and electrical appliances in our daily lives.

  • In this post we will see that what the electric current actually is and how it works;

ELECTRIC CURRENT ⚡

First of all we need to have a look on the clear definition of electric current. The definition of electric current states that;

  • "The rate of flow of the electric charges through any cross sectional area is known as current or electric current."

This is the definition we use to study in the books or on the internet.

The electric current flows through the electrical insulators. Electrical insulators are those items through which the electricity can pass through very easily. Because they have free atoms in them while helps the current to pass through that body.

  • Now due to what the flow of current happens?

Because of the negative or positive charges the electric current can be produced. It can also be produced because of the both charges at the same time. The metals have free electrons in them that's why it is easy for current to pass through it. When these free charges gets the potential from the battery or from any other electrical source they all stared moving in a specific direction and therefore the current production is happened inside that metal.

  • Battery is the most used source for the production of current. Battery has the electrochemical reaction in it. This made a potential difference between the two terminals of the battery.

So when we connect connects this through the help of wires then the charges started moving in one direction (from terminal 1 to terminal 2) because of the potential difference we have given. And thus it makes electric current.

This electric current can be used further for lights, sounds, heat, fans etc.
