Introducing @thegreens to Newcomer's Community

I am Ngalim Franklin aka Mr. Green (@thegreens), a grassroots environmentalist with 11 years experience and currently serving as Founder/Executive Director of The Greens (@thegreens), an Earth Science/Geology Teacher with 12 years experience, and currently working at Government High School Kedjom-Keku and a Father of 03 beautiful kids and currently serving as husband to Leila Odette with over 11 years marriage experience.

I am 36 years old and a native of Tsen Melim in Kimbo, Bui Division of the North West Region of Cameroon.

I am an African Changemakers Fellow, and Certified Creative Leader and Facilitator who has anchored more than 300 environmental radio programs (Green Radio), engaged 15 schools in environmentalism (Green Schools), trained more than 100 youths about climate change, educated and engaged several communities to take action for biodiversity and water conservation, planted more than 300,000trees, and inspired more than 10,000 youths in arts and sports for conservation.

I like adventures in nature, connecting and making friends with people from around the world, football, reading, writing, listening to music, and dancing. I am a very funny being who makes a lot of jokes and always smiles. I am a very patient and tolerant person who dislikes lazy and dishonest people.

I am more of a global citizen and believe humanity can only thrive in a just and sustainable world and this explains my passion for environmentalism.

My life’s development goals are to respect and affirm the inalienable dignity of the human person, promote education for all, and foster global environmental sustainability.

EXperience with Steem and Cryptos

I joined Steemit over 5 years ago and was first introduced to the platform by @martin.mikes, a Czech volunteer with whom I worked. Prior to joining Steemit, i had very limited experience in Cryptos but for five years now, i have learned a lot about Steem and other cryptocurrencies.
My principal goal on Steem has always been to promote environmentalism on Steemit and to use Steem to promote environmentalism around the globe.
For five years, i have realized a lot in terms of raising awareness about local and global environmental issues on Steemit as well as left an indelible mark in terms of local environmental action.

A few weeks ago, i launched the Steemit Environmental Club.

Steemit Environmental Club (SEC) is a global association of steemians who are educating, advocating and acting for environmental protection. The goal of the club is to promote environmental education, advocacy, and action on Steemit using the power of Steem.
Some of SEC’s core activities are;

1. Organize environmental contests such as the Green Deeds Contest, DIY Recycling Contest, Climate Actions Contest, etc
2. Find and reward environmental content on Steemit
3. Organize environmental awareness-raising/advocacy campaigns and commemorate international environmental days
4. Plant trees around the globe (Steemit Trees Project)
5. Disseminate environmental news and opportunities such as fellowships, grants, contests, conferences, etc.
6. Organize the Steemit Environmental Awards aimed at recognizing the works Environmental Steemians around the globe.
7. Initiate the Steemit Environmental Fund which will provide microgrants for Steemians to carryout Environmental Projects around the globe.

At this point, i think you already know what i principally blog about on the Steem blockchain as well as some of my key interests: I blog green and look forward to connecting with green fingers around the globe.

I have used most of my Steem earnings and will continue using my Steem earnings to promote the realization of my life's development goals which are to respect and affirm the inalienable dignity of the human person, promote education for all and foster global environmental sustainability.
