Greetings dear all! I was privileged to partake in the shooting of the movie "What Does The Future Holds"?
The storyline of the movie is all about the crisis ongoing in the english speaking regions of my country, Cameroon.
By the start of the post-colonial era, Cameroonians clearly developed a sense of racial identity by separating themselves into two major categories: Francophone and Anglophone (where I belong). The former identifying themselves as superior to the later seen in their immersed influence in decision making and employment rate over.
In November, 2016, the common law lawyers of my region initiated a strike to fight against this marginalization. Things later escalated when teachers in my region joined the action. This strike has led to the death of over four thousand people and all institutions in my region have been shutdown till date, students are being abducted and tortured if caught going to school, businesses have drastically been hampered, youths are being extorted and young girls are sexually abused on a daily basis by military men from the francophone region. The worst part of this experience is that the government is applying zero effort towards resolving the crisis.

Conventional wisdom has it that, every citizen of a nation should have equal right and offered the same opportunity irrespective of their socio-economic background. Unfortunately, in Cameroon it is not the case.

This movie clearly describes what the future holds for the younger generation.
