Introduction

It feels amazing to walk around one's town once in a while and capture some moments, especially places you have not visited in a while or haven't visited before. Even though it feels good yet there are a few challenges attached to it in this part of the world. I have a piece to share with you today in my town in ten pictures with the captures from my outing a few weeks ago.

1. Gabol Electronics

Gabol is obviously a general electronics shop in a commercial area of my town that deals with the sales of refrigerators, fans, televisions, sound systems, computers, and so on. Some of the notable brands indicated in the shop are Haier Thermocool, Hisense, and LG, these are well-known brands with good quality in Nigeria. I also have an Haier thermocool refrigerator in the house.

Al-Hamed Ola is a mobile phone store in my town. A mere glance at the store tells you the whole story about the place even without entering. The store deals with several mobile phone brands like Apples, Oppo, Xiaomi, Tecno, Huawei, Infinix, Samsung, Nokia, and so on, these were well written on the store. In addition, some of these products partnered with some network providers like MTN and GLO such that you get some data bonus on products purchased, the store also deals with this type.

Ibukun-Olu plaza (translated as the Blessing of God Plaza) is another commercial building I came across during my adventure and it was occupied by a few businesses. One of the small businesses that have a space in the plaza was this one that deals with embroidery on different types of wear, traditional wear, school uniforms, and even gift items.

4. Police Divisional Station

Police Divisional Station, Osogbo | What3words Location

This is a police divisional station in an area known as Dugbe in my town. The station was located in a busy area of the town just along the main road. Something happened when I captured the image, I was just about crossing the road when I shot it and after that, I stopped a commercial bus to navigate my way to the next destination.

I hopped in and two police officers came around and ordered me to come down of the vehicle and asked me why I was capturing the station, I highlighted the reasons and they told me I could have taken permission before doing that (even people are allowed to shoot movies in there with proper permission), that takes a few minutes before I left the scene. That's why capturing random pictures in this part of the world can be challenging at times.

It's amazing to come across this small and beautiful (with perfect color combo) pharmacy during my tour, a great addition to my collection and new development in town.

The one above houses a few small-scale businesses like boutiques, bag stores, sports betting shops, interior and exterior decoration, computers and other electronic accessories shops, and so on. Buildings like this are common in the commercial area of the town.

Legacy Place is a modern complex in a market area of my town and it has been occupied by a tech business that has partnered with HP and other brands for the sales and repairs of their products. In addition, it was previously occupied by Farmkonnect, an organization that claims to connect farmers across the town, provide loan support, and so on, which sounds more like an agriculture cooperative.

A roadside trader saw me while I was taking that shot and said; Do you like this place? There are more vacancies in there, I smiled and we discussed a few things about Legacy place.
