I had a lot of fun in this series, I'm happy with the results that I got. If you really think about it, the subject in these photos is mundane. What makes them look special is the way these subjects react to light, shadow, and reflection.
They say in photography, it's all about the light. It really is about the light. If without it, there won't be shadow, texture, and reflection.
A leaf has this amazing quality that makes the light shine through it & passes through it depending on the angle of view. Shoot it directly above it and we see this amazing texture that appears too rough & hard. Shoot the underside of it and we see the fluidity and soft/smoky texture.
Nature works in mysterious ways.
