Over Training Your Body And Not Focusing On Your End Goal

The biggest mistake most people make in fitness training is not focusing on your end goals. Whether you are training for increasing muscle mass, losing weight, or improving stamina, there are multiple factors that can derail your progress. When you realize that you are out of balance and need help to put the pieces back in place, rather than focusing on your end goal (which is losing weight), you will be motivated to focus on the issues that need attention first.

One of these issues is getting into the habit of measuring your weight loss progress versus your weight gain or muscle gain. If you focus only on losing weight, you could easily get into a plateau where you are not losing any weight, but you are not seeing any real change in your body size. Or maybe you just gained some weight, and it is only in a small amount.

This is not the case when you have an end goal. You have to make sure that every week you are concentrating on a different workout plan that will enable you to reach your goal. If you are focused on losing weight, you might want to add some weight lifting exercises to your workout routine.

Another problem that many people run into is not following their workout plan. They start doing the same exercises over again because that is what feels like their "program" and not what really works. By focusing on your end goal, you will eliminate this problem and be able to focus more on your target muscles. Your workout plan should be a living, breathing thing; changing your routine weekly will not only keep you from getting bored with your workout, but will also encourage new muscle growth and strength building.

Many people try to accomplish too much at once when working out. By over training your body you will damage your joints, your muscles and your tendons. Instead of focusing on your end goal you need to train hard, and when you are over training your body will shut down in order to protect itself. This is why many people get injured during their workouts. Make sure that you are breaking each exercise down into sets of ten and focus on that set until it has been completed.

Focusing on your goals in life is something that should be done on a daily basis. If you fail to focus on your goals you will never achieve them. You must realize that there will always be things that you will need to do, but that you can't do them all at once. Start small and then go for it.

Another problem that many people run into when working out is not having any boundaries. If you work out everyday and go hard, but then never push yourself outside of that boundary you will never push yourself to the next level. Every time you feel like you are going to give up or quit you should push past those feelings and push yourself harder. When you have no boundaries you will soon start to see results from your hard work and that will motivate you even more to continue.

The last issue that I am going to cover is time. You must have enough time left at the end of the day to complete your goals. Many people make the mistake of trying to accomplish their goals before they have the energy to do so. Always give yourself at least a couple hours of rest and at least a couple days of time before you start your routine. Remember that most people can only work hard for so long before they lose that drive to succeed. If you want to become a success and reach your goals you must stay motivated and consistent.
