Hola a todos, la verdad hoy fue un día de sorpresa, porque en momentos en que me hallaba en la glorieta del jardín de casa, desayunando, primero escuche unos cantos de ranas muy ensordecedor, al moverme un poco veo que viene saltando una rana, la que se ve en la foto, muy holgadamente, se ve que al notar mi presencia se quedo muy quieta, lo cual yo no tenia ninguna intención de hacerle algún daño, pero si quitarles unas fotos, como estas, para armar mi publicación, lo cual al comenzar con la sección de fotos esta se quedo como exhibiéndose o modelando ajajaj, si la observamos bien es una belleza, su piel brillosa, sus ojos saltones y grandes, la cabeza que termina en su boca como en cuña, con un color camuflado entre marrón y negro, en partes rayas y en otras como lunares, casi confundiéndose con los colores de la laja del piso.

Se sabe que las ranas, son muy pequeñas de entre apenas milímetros hasta llegar a una medida de 30 centímetros, pertenece al grupo de los batracios,, cuando son adultas al ser sus patas traseras largas en lo que le da mas impulso al efectuar sus saltos cuando se desplaza, estas ranas no solamente se defienden muy bien, si no que también las mismas, viven en la zonas húmedas, donde se adaptan mejor, y son anfibias, con excepción de la zonas de alta temperatura o sea el frio.

La mayoría son carnívoros, se alimentan de animales invertebrados tanto de tierra como de agua, lagartijas, ratones, la misma se acerca a la presa muy sigilosa y cuando sabe que la puede atrapar utiliza su lengua, como si fuera un látigo, la cual se pega sobre su victima y directamente la lleva a su boca para devorarlo, el sonido de dichos batracios tienen varias gamas, por ejemplo cuando es época de reproducción es cuando mas cantan, a veces cuando se escucha el tan famoso cruac, ese canto mayormente es de los machos.

El único detalle es que la rana tiene su piel muy delicada es por eso que no puede estar expuesta al sol y también muy brillosa, a pesar de todo esto cumple un rol fundamental en nuestro jardín, porque se encarga de varios insectos.
