Engadget - Crypto exchange BitMart loses $196 million to hackers

Cryptocurrency exchange BitMart has been hacked and $196 million worth of cryptocurrency has been stolen, Coindesk reports.

The hackers are unknown, but they are believed to have enough knowledge to know that the stolen funds were sent to an ethereum mixing service, which is difficult to trace.

First the hackers broke into Ethereum and Binance wallets by flooding them with transfers, followed by the exodus of tokens including Shiba and USDC.
