On Dividing and Conquerring

The image above shows members of the ruling class building mechanizations around a globe as they seek to divide and conquer the people of the world. I created this as part of my AI Image A Day Series
Here is a high resolution version of the image
It is election season in the United States and I thought I should create an image that was political in nature.
SteemIt has a global audience. There is little interest in local election.
Since the United States is a primary player on the world stage, US elections have an outsized influence on world politics. I decided to simply lament that US elections have a outsized influence on global politics.
After WWII, the United States had a relatively unified approach to international politics. For a few decades, the United States helped stabilize global politics.
Today, the United States has fallen into a period of extremely divisive politics. I fear that our elections have a destabilizing effect on global politics.
For example, Trump supported something called The Abraham Accords. The Biden Administration was lukewarm on this policy. The switch in policy amplified conflicts in the Middle East.
Trump dislikes illegal immigration and supported strong border security. Trump seems to support legal migration.
Biden dislikes Trump. So, he weakened border security. Some on the left encouraged mass migration. The current policy seems to be destabilizing global politics.
Trump dislikes Biden and is likely to radically change Biden's policies.
To be honest. I dislike both presidential candidate. I see each election as a choice of the lesser of two evils.
Here is a meme I created after the presidential debate.
My personal take on The Donald is that The Donald was a Democrat during the Great Society of LBJ. He loved the great rhetoric of LBJ but couldn't understand why the policies of the Great Society failed to make America Great.
Seeing corruption in the Democratic Party, he switched to the GOP and the Conservative Movement in the GOP. The Rhetoric of Make America Great Again reflects the rhetoric and policies of LBJ. It seems to me that the 2025 presidential election is a LBJ style Democrat of the 1970s running against a progressive Democrat of the Obama era.
I don't like either candidate. Here is my Trump/LBJ picture: Everything I dislike about LBJ and the Great Society seem to be true of Trump and MAGA.
I feel horrible that that US election is likely to have dire consequences abroad ... regardless of which candidate wins.
