This is so an amazing topic to write on. I laughed just at the sight of this topic because this is one real situation most of us must have encountered. It is either we are the ones running away in such situations or we are dumped in such circumstances. This natural phenomenon has no respect for whoever but rather, this is one thing aspect of human nature that entails the existence of survival at sight.

I could remember some situations that made me laugh out loud. Firstly, let me share a few stories about my friend and partner on the same topic in view. We were in a traffic jam on one of the busy roads in Lagos (mainland). Just as we know, there are flyovers and other pedestrian walkways scattered all over the city which added to the artistic beauty of the town.

However, while still in this traffic-prone environment and tucked in the jam, we saw some people running up and down, and we tried to inquire, one fellow and tout shouted that the bridge (one of the flyovers) was about to collapse. We were just close to this structure.

Before I could look at who was already struggling with the car door to jump out, it was my friend. I tried to hold her back but the energy exacerbated by her was that of two macho men. She quickly jumped out of the vehicle and started running out of the environment. We all knew that what this tout said was just a prank but she didn't understand it that way. It was not only embarrassing but also deeply funny to everyone in the car.

When she came back to the car and realized that it was all a prank, we all started laughing at her. It was an instinct that happened once those adrenaline were triggered. It hardly recognizes third-party interference once in motion. When she came back, I did not have to quarrel with her about not staying with me, or trying to survive alone without carrying me along.

I would have still done the same thing or slightly differently by alerting her to jump out as well. But while running to salvage myself, I may not run to wait for her. This is life and shouldn't be judged. Everyone wants to tell the story and not be able to talk about what happened.

Many other incidents have happened that would suggest that we are selfish in our actions but this is never an issue to child back for anyone. They are natural survival instincts that happen and shouldn't be blamed for. I will forgive anyone when such a situation happens.

Thank you
