- Daily routine...
It is early morning and I am on the way to my work, I love to leave my house with plenty of time so that I do not rush and also on the way to work I can think about my day. There is always something to plan, to get an idea what I need to do and in which order. Mornings it is quiet and I have first 15 minutes to walk till train station.
Luckily I have a ticket for a year for train, it is expensive but it saves me time and also I then do not need to worry about that for a year time. Another reason why I like such ticket is that on some days I leave my work earlier or later and there are some days when I need to work on weekend and that makes it easy just to have one ticket for 365 days.
- Stranger...
On train station I usually have to wait about 10 minutes and it is always the same time, I like my routine and I do not like much changes. One day when I was siting and waiting for my train I saw a man who was approximately in his 40s and wear a hut and trench coat with high collar so that it was difficult to see the face. As human we are curious about someone who we can not see well and that was maybe a reason why I remember that man. But later on my train arrived and I got on the man remained on his bench.
The next day I was again immersed in my thoughts and my plan of my day but when I arrived to train station the stranger was there and was sitting on the same place and in same outfit like he was sitting the day before. I just thought that it is strange to see the same man on the same place but I did not think that it is a good idea to speak to him.
- Fate...
Next two days it continued again, that is why when I was going to work my mind was not with my routine tasks and work0related stuff but with that stranger. I was thinking if the man is again there on his place.
This time, when I arrived to train station I decided to have a sit next to him on the same bench. When I approached I greeted him and he greeted back, his voice sounded very familiar but I still could not relate it to anyone who I know.
I thought of starting a casual chat and at the time when I opened my mouth the stranger said:
- “No, please you do not need to”.
I was puzzled and thought how he knows what I am going to say. In that moment the stranger said:
- “Because we are here everyday and you start it up with the same question and that always ends the same way”
I asked if we know each other and he said:
- “yes”
That time my train arrived that I almost missed, so that I got up and rushed to train, but the man grabbed my arm and said:
- “just miss this train, you can take another one...*
I wanted to ask stranger what he means and looked into his face, in this very moment I just froze, because I could recognise myself in this man but 20 years older. It was my way to look and smile and that apologising expression when I felt that I did something wrong.
While I was trying to figure out what the hell is going on the man managed to let my arm and just disappear among the crowd.
I took the next train and arrived to my work, everyone looked at me like the saw ghost. When I asked what is wrong, they said that train that I normally take had a collision and none of the passengers are survived. That is why knowing that it is a train that I usually take they thought that it was me who got into the accident. They all questioned how it is possible that I was not in that train. I only answered:
- “I was caught by stranger and missed my train.”
The rest of the day I was just thinking what it was, was it a true and if that happen in reality or was it just my imagination, or was it myself coming back from the future to help me to miss my train...
