So I spent a large portion of the day playing with this box of silver I found under the bed the other day. Ive been toying with the idea of going through each individual coin, showing off the craftsmanship and the beauty of some of the coins ive picked up through the earlier years of my stacking journey.

Ive always had a thing for the Australian Perth Mint. I dont think ive ever kept it a secret, that for me, and in my opinion, the Perth Mint is probably the greatest designer of silver coins and bullion......

So, to follow that statement up, ill be showing my 2015, Kookaburra, 1oz silver coin:

Certain coins definitely possess a unique charm ti them. Coins that captivate collectors with their beauty and symbolism. Among these treasures is the 2015 Australian Kookaburra 1oz Silver Coin. When I first laid eyes on the 2015 Australian Kookaburra coin, I knew i had to habe it... This was, if memory serves me correct, an "Ebay" purchase. Back then I didnt know my arse from.my elvow when it came to stacking precious metals. All i knew was my budget, what I liked and then postage was free!!! Instantly, I was captivated by the intricate design and undeniable charm of this stunning piece of numismatic art.

What struck me most about the coin was its exquisite design, showcasing the beloved kookaburra in all its glory. Perched on a branch against a backdrop of native Australian flora, the kookaburra appeared majestic and serene, its distinctive plumage and hearty laugh immortalised in fine detail.

On the reverse side, the coin featured Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, a subtle nod to Australia's status as a Commonwealth nation. While the obverse design was undeniably captivating, the reverse served as a reminder of the coin's official status as legal tender and its connection to the Australian monarchy.

One of the most appealing aspects of the 2015 Kookaburra Silver Coin is its limited mintage, adding to its allure and collectibility. With only a finite number of coins produced, each piece becomes a rare and coveted treasure sought after by collectors and investors alike.
